CELLULOSE INSULATION

ITS APPLICATIONS

Cellulose insulation France cellulose insulation has multiple applications. It meets all interior insulation needs in buildings, from attics to floors, walls, and crawl spaces.

INTERIOR INSULATION WITH CELLULOSE INSULATION

Cellulose insulation used for interior insulation in buildings. In renovation projects, it helps reduce energy loss in the building. In RE2020 construction, it provides thermal and acoustic comfort and guarantees comfort in summer thanks to its phase shift, which is more than twice that of mineral wool.

APPLICATION IN UNUSED ATTIC SPACE

Blowing cellulose insulation into unused attic space

Roofs are responsible for nearly 30% of energy loss in France. Poor attic insulation can lead to higher economic and energy costs.

By choosing cellulose insulation unused attic space, you slow down heat transfer by nearly 10 hours (compared to less than 5 hours for blown mineral wool).

Thanks to its loose form, cellulose insulation every gap to limit thermal bridges.

It can be blown in very quickly, and it only takes a few hours to insulate 100 m2.

To date, this is the most widespread use in France, with nearly 20% of lost attic space insulated with cellulose insulation.

APPLICATION IN THE WALLS

Cellulose insulation be installed in walls in various ways :

Blowing in cellulose insulation France

Blowing into walls :

During renovation work, cellulose insulation be blown into the walls. This technique requires preparatory work involving the installation of rafters at regular intervals, as well as a vapor barrier that will be pierced for the blowing process.

Cellulose insulation is alsoparticularly popular in timber frame construction, where it can be easily blown into the walls during their design in the workshop.

Wet Spray Cellulose Insulation for Walls

Wet projection on walls :

When the substrate is not continuous, it can also be sprayed wet. This method is not widely used in France as it requires special technical skills.

APPLICATION IN CRAWL SPACES

In converted or convertible attics, cellulose insulation be blown into the rafters. Joists must be installed between the battens in order to attach a vapor barrier. An opening is created for blowing in the insulation.
