The collected paper is sorted according to very strict criteria: it must be completely dry and free of staples, strapping, plastic, etc. Once sorted, the paper can then be recycled and converted into cellulose insulation. CARBON NEUTRALITY
Unlike mineral insulation, cellulose insulation is manufactured without combustion. Sorted paper is first roughly chopped before being mixed with mineral salts. The mixture is then passed through a grinding mill to defibrate the paper and give it its insulating properties. Finally, the cellulose insulation dusted and packaged in bags that are automatically palletized. It also has a neutral carbon footprint, and production generates less than 1% waste.
